Casa Monti

WHERE: MONTI, ROME
WHAT: HOTEL
WHO: DESIGN LOVERS, CULTURAL NOMADS
THE VIBE: ELEGANT, ARTISTIC, CONTEMPORARY Romanità

A five-star hotel that reads like an artist’s flat: Casa Monti is a playful, design-led hideaway in the heart of Rome’s Monti neighbourhood, where cobbled lanes meet indie boutiques and trattorie.

Housed in a handsome palazzo on Via Panisperna, the hotel balances colour and craft — patterned walls, vintage objets, painted fabrics and unexpected artworks — so every corridor feels like a curated set.

There are 26 rooms and 10 suites (each individually conceived with a bohemian sensibility), a ground-floor restaurant and courtyard terrace, a buzzy rooftop bar with sweeping city views, and a fantastic spa.

Casa Monti
A MODERN ROMAN RESIDENCE

A DESIGN-LED HIDEAWAY IN THE CITY'S CREATIVE HEART

Located in the ivy-lined streets of Monti, Rome's oldest neighbourhood, Casa Monti is a vibrant new addition to the Leimotiv hotel portfolio, designed by renowned architect Laura Gonzalez. Known for her imaginative use of rich patterns and joyful details, Gonzalez reinterprets Monti’s bohemian and creative spirit throughout the hotel. The district, historically home to artisans and merchants, now thrives as a trendy, artistic enclave near iconic landmarks like the Colosseum.

The hotel features 36 uniquely designed rooms, each with its own color theme, combining playful wallpapers, textured furnishings, and artwork by local creatives. The ethereal entrance, adorned with frescoes of pine trees and swallows, evokes the lush serenity of Villa Borghese. Casa Monti’s design blends noble materials with dynamic, artistic elements, creating a space where every detail tells a story, from bespoke ceramics to illustrations that honour the neighbourhood's heritage.
